Prompt: If you could change what you’re reading, how would you change it?

Dust and Decay 2
I would go back to the very beginning and change something if I could. I would make it so the zombie apocalypse never happened but that would mean that there would be no book so I'll switch my hopes. I'll make it so that no one had to die. I don't like death. It's so stupidly sad. Even when the antagonist MIGHT have died, it's still sad. I had this realization when Tom Imura said so. Everybody had a life before they did anything bad, heck, even if they're doing something bad they still had a family, people they cared for. Okay, enough with the weird, Nadrian-Getting-Serious thing I'll try to be my normal self but that's hard because we're talking about death here...
Well, anyways the reason why I want to change those things is because Tom's love life is gone now because of that. Jessie Riley has died in the first book and that scene was amazingly sad, which I HATE because I don't like sad junk, I want the world to be happy and cheery and the sun to be smiling like in all the children's books, that's how I see the world. But no, she had to die and Tom had to kill her to make sure she doesn't... reanimate.
I would also want to change the love triangle with Morgie (GUY), Benny (GUY) and Nix (Girl), because... Okay is the way I find it the simplest to understand. Benny was there first so everybody else back off! Also either way Nix had a crush on Benny ever since they were six and another reason, the biggest reason, I WANT Nix and Benny to be together and if I don't get what I want, the author's getting a really long lecture about how to make the readers happy.

I like how you summarize and say what you would change. It really helps me understand the book.
ReplyDeleteWow! this book looks really interesting. Also why do you want to only change those things?
ReplyDeleteI think by reading this blog I can refer that you spent sometime trying to figure out what you would change about the book. I enjoyed how you bolded some words that made you stand out. I kind of want to read your book because the author actually gives the reader a long lecture. Zombies are Awesome!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on your blog this sounds like a great book for me to start reading once i am done reading my current book.
ReplyDeleteWow it sound like you want to change a lot of major things in the book. But in a way I understand you because I don't like death or sad stuff really. But overall I really liked this post. It sounds so interesting!
ReplyDeleteI really like your blog, it seems like you have really thought about changing major events in the story. This sounds like a really interesting book, I thought of Poe's poems because they are very dark and involve death.
