This week, a trivial matter seems to have taken place. There is a controversy going around on Twitter about a dress that changes color. I found that amazing! Show the picture on my right to several people around you. Some will see Blue and Black, and some will see White and Gold. That's because their eyes and your eyes perceive color a tiny bit differently, and that dress seems to be something that shows you the difference.
Twitter is blowing up about this. Some are making very humorous comments, and some are over-reacting about this topic.
"My mom just seriously asked if I was on drugs or going blind, a dress is literally tearing my family apart. #whiteandgold"
-Unknown
"From this day on, the world will be divided into two people. Blue & black, or white & gold."
-Ellen Degeneres
"I don't understand this odd dress debate and I feel like it's a trick somehow. I'm confused and scared. PS it's OBVIOUSLY BLUE AND BLACK"
-Taylor Swift
"Expect to see a spike in Google searches for 'is my husband colorblind' and 'divorce' after tonight."
-Christopher Ingraham
I don't understand why people are in such distress over a dress. When we talked about it in class, we were laughing about it. Some of us saw the dress as black and blue, while others saw the dress as white and gold. We were just very, very confused with each other. I'll admit that I first thought my friends were color blind, but I can't see how this would ruin relationships.Another big topic of the week was about ISIS, which is not surprising. There are a number of cases about kids running away from home to join ISIS. The public doesn't have any reason as to why anybody would want to join ISIS, which is what I also believe. So this brings the entire world into a very confusing situation and makes us all want to ask, "Why?".
I have several theories to explain this. I'd like to put emphasis on "theory".
I have such a bad opinion of the new generation to think that the Run Away's saw the ISIS videos and though that they were "cool". I know that this is a very stupid theory, partially because I hope that no one is careless enough to think that way.
ISIS is forcing them to come to their side. Blackmail. But the most un-realistic part of it, is that I don't believe anyone would risk their life so that a bad picture of them isn't public.
Yeah... I can't explain any of this.

I like that you include facts from the current events, and then your contrary opinion. It makes your blog one of the more interesting, and the format also helps break down the paragraphs. You have a very distinct voice!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteI like your blog format, very captivating. I like how you added in people's comments and what they saw. Very good blog, yes indeed.
ReplyDeleteI pictured you nodding with your arms crossed and you eyes open as you said that.
