Prompt: • Draw a picture for what you just read.
This book is almost as good as the Rot and Ruin and if you have read any of my blogs, you must know that I love Rot and Ruin. This is the greatest book about greek mythology I have read so far. Well I only read Lightning Thief so I guess that isn't such a great title. This is not the same as your normal Greek mythology books like the Percy Jackson series. It includes roman people too! Although I don't know so much since the trio just started on their suicidal "Quest".
So as of right now I thought, "Oh god, oh~~~ god! Piper is gonna DIE~~~! Well, unless she has some super Aphrodite power which I think is gonna happen since Leo can control fire which most Demigods of Haphaestus can't do and Jason, I think he's gonna get a power soon enough. There are also 7 more heroes out there. I think one of them might be Thalia. Since she's Jason's sister and that's the only memory that Jason has.
Okay, now describing the picture above. Piper is gonna die~! She is standing right there, facing towards a man-eating cyclops. They are in an abandoned warehouse which I didn't put much detail in. Jason and Leo were off to go do something. Leo went to go looking for Festus (Happy, the dragon) and Jason went to go look for Leo, leaving the beauty queen (Which Piper is the opposite of. Hard to understand sarcasm in writing.) alone. She heard the Cyclops imitate Jason's voice. Yeup, cyclopes (Plural of cyclops) can imitate other's voices... Yeup.
Well I'd be scared if I didn't have any mythology based powers to assist me during a time of distress. Hopefully someone comes to her rescue or she discovers her powers. Maybe she doesn't even have any!

ReplyDeleteI've heard about this book but I never knew it talked about roman people. Are those roman people, people that actually existed? I liked how you talk about Hephaestus because it seems that he not a famous greek god. I understand how people don't mention because he is the god of fire and blacksmith. The great thing about this blog is that you showed how feel about this blog. Great Blog Post.
ReplyDeleteYou must like this book a lot all of those pages in a week. What are all of the heros powers? Do they all have a god parent like in Percy Jackson? Its cool how the cyclops can mimic voices. Thanks for the info on the book.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if it was just me, but the picture did not appear on your blog. Even without the picture, I could still understand what was going on because you described it so well. I find Greek Mythology interesting, but I never really got the chance to read a book about it. From your blog, it seems even more interesting now. Keep you the good work in your blogs!
