Where I’m From

That question doesn’t seems to be as difficult as it looks.

But when you add your whole life into the equation.

Where am I from?

My family is religious but,

I’m not all that religious,

even if I say I am.

I enjoy all types of food,

especially ones that people made just for me.

I enjoy playing around with video games,

but when it’s the perfect condition,

I like to play outside a bit more.

I don’t have many important events in my life.

Only in my opinion.

I guess,

when I left the Philippines was one.

But I don’t remember that well.

There was this one event that I just had somewhat recently.

I went back,

back to the Philippines.

There were a lot of fun times that I had there.

Reliving the life that I had once.

Going back to my grandparents’ house.

Coming back and seeing the scenery again.

Also having fun new experiences.

But focusing on the present,

my dad is unemployed,

still looking for a job.

My mom is working extremely hard,

working multiple jobs.

So I try to work hard too,

try to qualify for State in swimming.

I love swimming a lot,

the WHOOSHING sound when you dive into the water.

The POP noise that the bubbles make.

But I guess I didn’t answer my original question.

Truth is,

I don’t know where I’m from,

or who I am.

I guess I’ll find out,

in the end.
