I have a mix of feelings about this book. A feeling of wanting, something's missing. Percabeth!!! No!!! The couple, they're not in this book, which makes me frustrated, but then Percy, I think, is getting hit on by another girl. The, sort of, "Queen" of New Rome, New Rome being the Roman's "Camp". Percy, gets amnesia and forgets about everyone else, except Annabeth, which is kind of romantic, really romantic, actually. He can't forget his one true love. Honestly, it gets me all giggly inside.
Another feeling I have is frustration. The main character, Percy, is the one that should be the strongest. Characters in the book say that he's the strongest, but we all know that Jason is. How will a little splash of water hurt your enemy? Come on! Camp Half Blood only teaches it's, "warriors" basic fighting skills when they don't teach them their individual strengths. Whether they control water or lightning. Water has great potential! Put them over your opponents mouth and nose to choke them to death, and if you just carry a water bottle with you all the time, that's your great amazing weapon right there!
I have tons of other feelings, but most of them are just nonsense. This is probably the last one that makes sense. I have a feeling of jealousy toward this book. Gosh! Reality sucks! this just makes me realize that. Comparing this world to their world where everything goes their way and according to plan, where they always win and nothing sad happens. This world sucks.
Nice job Nadrian, This books sound very interesting especially the way you described it.

Dude. This was an amazing blog. I totally agree with you when you said that Percabeth was missing. it kinda makes me mad when the Queen Of New Rome was hitting on Percy.
ReplyDeleteYou wrote a good blog and I liked how you have all these emotions in your book. It shows that you really like this book and are really in to it.
ReplyDeleteI felt exactly how you do when I read this with Percy not being with Annabeth. Personally, I think Percy is the strongest of the demigods. Sure, Jason can fly and summon lightning while Leo can control fire, but that's nothing compared to creating a hurricane or earthquake. Percy can do way more than just summon water! He can talk to horses, sea animals, spirits, and even breath underwater! Also, I think that the Heroes of Olympus world is not so different to ours. Besides the gods and monsters, they're a lot alike. Sad things happen in HoH and PJO like when Charlie and Silena died. Not everything goes according to plan either, more than half the time things don't go according to plan in HoH! When they do try to do something, there's almost always a monster or good in their path.
