Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is probably my favorite book the the Harry Potter series, why? Because Sirius was introduced. That's just half the reason though. The other half would be that the book gave us so many back ground on what exactly happened the day that Harry's parents died. It gives us a better understanding of the series. Without this book, I would seriously just be all like, "Whaa?"
So the book gives us so much background about Harry's parents. Like at the moment when the teachers of Hogwarts were saying that Sirius and Harry's dad were the greatest of friends, and that Professor Lupin was part of their gang. They also stated how Harry's parents did die, and I can't tell you that because that's pretty much the main point of the story, so if I do tell you that, I just spoiled the entire book to you.
The Prisoner of Azkaban is pretty much the entire reason why I wanted to read the rest of the series. Because they made Harry's grandfather ask this question, just this one question made me want to read the entire series, "Harry, would you like to live with me?". When he asked that I was incredibly excited, I was thinking about how much potential and change this could have in the series! But at the end it didn't happen, I was desperate, I nearly cried at the end when Harry wasn't going to live with Sirius, it completely sucked, basically. Well the book didn't suck, it was great, but it was just a let-downer when Harry wasn't living with Sirius, sad, so sad.
Nadrian I must say I shared you frustration when Sirius asked Harry to live with him. I myself almost had an emotional breakdown when he asked him. I really believe that it shows how much Sirius cared about Lily, James, and Harry. I find it absolutely horrible that the Order of the Phoenix changes everything, I honestly started crying when I found out what would happen.
ReplyDeleteNadrian,
ReplyDeleteHarry Potter is great. I love this book along with the rest of the series. I really like your drawings, I can tell what part of the book you're talking about. Nice blog post. (:
Nadrian, although this wasn't one of my favorite books of the series, I agree with you on that fact that it was very helpful. And it also introduced Sirius, who still continues to remain one of my favorite characters. Well after Bellatrix Lestrange... Great drawing too!
